GUITAR LESSONS

Here at Hampshire Drum School we provide (both right-handed and left-handed) guitar lessons that achieve the goals of the student; whether that is to play their favourite AC/DC song, achieve their next grading certificate, or learning a cool riff so that they can jam with their siblings. 

Guitar lessons include instruction on the following instruments: 

​Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Bass Guitar, Acoustic Bass Guitar, and Double Bass.

Sometimes the easiest and best way to learn is to learn what you love. Bring your playlist with your favourite songs along to your lesson and we can get stuck into learning your favourite guitar riffs!

Be confident sitting your grading exams, with a tutor that boasts a 100% pass rate. There's no pressure and success is never rushed.

Learn to play in bands, get ready for a gig, or a performance exam. Learn stage presence and how to keep the audience's attention, without losing any musical clarity.

TRAVEL

Although our tutors don't offer home visits, our new base in Bishop's Waltham is close to many main travel routes including both M3 and M27 motorways.

PRICING

Lessons can be arranged for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. With the prices at £20, £30, and £40 respectively per lesson. Customised lesson lengths are available upon request.

DAVE BARTLETT,
GUITAR TEACHER

Dave Bartlett, Guitar Teacher

Dave began his music teaching career at the early age of 17, and was working professionally as a musician by age 19. He then enjoyed a successful 12 year touring career as bassist for the band NEWMAN, created by musician Steve Newman. The band toured overseas annually including extensive touring around the UK and Europe. As well as playing for Steve Newman, Dave has recorded on a number of albums including, but not limited to, Ignition by NEWMAN, Ismael Clark and the Cosmos Athletes (self-titled), and all records by the band Compass. Recently, aside from his regular gigging commitments amongst the DL Entertainments family, Dave has found himself frequenting the orchestra pit of local theatres; performing such musicals as The Addams Family, Made In Dagenham and The Wedding Singer, as well as a permanent member of Kerry Le Burn’s Jambalaya Band (Carpenters Tribute).

ROBBY SPENCER,
GUITAR TEACHER

Hailing from Andover, Robby studied music at the Andover Music Academy before completing his BA (hons) in Music at Southampton Solent University. 
Robby was a founding member of the band The Dead Freights, a successful Hampshire based band that toured extensively, supporting artists including The Feeling, Jack Francis, as well as recording an EP at the coveted Abbey Road Studios. After this Robby worked as the touring guitarist for the band Imperial Leisure, touring the festival circuit in both the UK and Europe, and since has gone on to play with Callum Lintott and South Coast Ghosts. Robby is bringing a lot of experience to his new role at Hampshire Drum School, with a wealth of road-tested knowledge that he can impart on his students.
